A selection of jottings from the recent CC Public Relations Committee meeting
- A national ‘brand’ for ringing – a logo and all the rest – feedback from the Reading project and the Roadshow considered, but this needs doing professionally (yet not at full commercial cost!) so we’re looking for a ringer with contact or experience in the industry.
- Outlining a PR strategy for development when we find a CC PR Officer.
- Good feedback from the Roadshow, so we’re recommending a date be set for the next one!
- Working on guidance for society websites, to help you make them more user-friendly.
- The Bells in Your Care leaflet for incumbents has been updated, and new lines of communication with dioceses are being established.
Publicity for special ringing? –
Local! Local! Local!
Let your town know why you will be ringing, and we’re here to help you do that, developing sample press releases and posters for:
- 300th anniversary of the first recorded peal (2nd May next year).
- The Great Ringing Day for the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta (14th June next year).
- Annual occasions such as Christmas, St George’s Day, Ride & Stride. Look out for these on the CC website quite soon
